Dragon

Fachang Muqi’s “Dragon” dates from c. 1250–79. It is a hanging scroll painted with ink on silk. The artwork is from the Southern Song dynasty.

The painting measures 177.2 cm in height and 101.4 cm in width. It is part of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s collection.

Muqi was a Chan Buddhist monk and artist. His formal name was Fachang, while Muqi was his art name.
