Wang Hui’s “Hall of Lofty Pines” is a handscroll created in 1703. It uses ink and color on paper. The work belongs to the Qing dynasty period and is held by the Cleveland Museum of Art.

The scroll measures over 11 meters in length. The ink and color applied on paper create a continuous landscape scene. The detailed brushwork is characteristic of Chinese ink painting.

Wang Hui was active during the transition between the Ming and Qing dynasties. He played a significant role in the revival of earlier landscape painting traditions.
