Basavana illustrated a feast hosted by Babur’s half-brother Jahangir Mirza in Ghazni, May 1505. The work was completed circa 1589. Gum tempera and gold on paper.

The outer margins of the painting were added in the mid-1900s. It features intricate details characteristic of Mughal art.

Basavana was active from around 1560 to 1600. He often worked on Mughal court paintings but did not travel widely outside India.
